About Us
Where Creativity Finds Structure.
BYMA Architecture Studio is an architectural practice based in Larnaca, founded by the architect Marialena Byrou in 2021.
The studio provides services in the fields of architectural design, interior design and construction management.
With experience in various projects, such as residential buildings, hotels, industrial and public spaces concept
designs obtained through years of experience both in the UK and Cyprus, our main goal is to provide our clients with top quality service which is based on the below three pillars:
- Personalisation – Our main and primary concern is to drive the design of each individual project, based on
the clients aesthetic, needs and interests. - Aesthetic Clarity– Our designs focus on the maximum utilization of both the interior and exterior spaces
based on the clients requirements. - Environment – All designs take into consideration the urban environment or the project.
Clients can get a better understanding of each project from an early stage with the use of drawings, diagrams, detailed 3d models, and photorealistic representations of all spaces. This enables the clients to have a holistic view of the materials and functionality of all spaces.

Meet Marialena Byrou
Our Team
Founder & Lead Architect BYMA Architecture Studio Marialena Byrou graduated in 2017 from the University of Bath, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture with first class honors. Her thesis was based on the Masterplan of Larnaka focusing on the transformation of the costal line after the relocation of the oil companies. The project received wide interest internationally and was awarded by the Future Space Foundation.
Her passion for learning and evolving in the field of architecture, lead her to work in various sections of the design and building process gaining a holistic of knowledge in all the stages required for an idea to get implemented to the best possible outcome.
With experience in several leading practices both in Cyprus and UK, being involved in various projects such as residential, urban planning and industrial projects; the planning department of Cyprus for
several years, resulting in a wider knowledge and understanding for all the required planning and building permits for different scale and types of developments; and finally, as an external consultant in the global organization UNDP, in the construction field for ancient monuments, lead to gaining an experience on the organization and
construction management of the site but also on all the technical and contract detail requirements. Since setting up her own practice in 2021, her aim is to maximize the potential of each project she undertakes.
Each design is driven by analyzing and understanding each client’s needs and interests. She believes that each project should be responsive to its users and to the environment. Through the creation of BYMA Architecture Studio and with the philosophy of serving people and their community, she has managed to achieve her vision of practicing high quality, innovative architecture.
